My First CR Visit
What can I expect at my first CR visit?
Walking into Celebrate Recovery for the first time can feel like a big step — but you won’t take it alone.
Large Group Meetings - Thursday Nights
When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by friendly faces who are genuinely glad you’re here. The evening begins with a time of worship and encouragement, followed by a short teaching or personal testimony that reminds us we’re all on a journey toward healing.
After the main session, we break into small, gender-specific open share groups where you can listen or share as you feel comfortable — there’s no pressure to speak. Everything shared stays confidential, creating a safe place built on respect, honesty, and grace.
Each night ends with fellowship, snacks, and time to connect with others who understand what you’re going through. You don’t have to have it all figured out — just come as you are and take the next step toward freedom, one day at a time.
Childcare is provided on Thursday evenings.
Open Share Only Meetings
If you attend on a day that isn’t a Thursday, those are our Open Share Only Meetings. At these meetings we skip the large group worship and teaching portion to focus entirely on small group connection and personal sharing. These evenings are designed to provide extra time for participants to talk, listen, and support one another in a safe and confidential environment.
The format is simple — after a short welcome and prayer, everyone breaks into gender-specific Open Share Groups. In these groups, you’ll have the opportunity to share what’s on your heart, talk about how your week has been, or simply listen and learn from others who are walking similar paths. There’s no pressure to speak; just come as you are and be encouraged.
These nights often feel a little quieter and more personal — giving everyone space to reflect, connect, and experience the healing power of honest conversation and Christ-centered community.
Childcare is not provided for Open Share Only Meetings. Children are not permitted in Open Share groups. Attendees are responsible for finding childcare.
