Frequently Asked Questions

  • Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a Christ-centered recovery program that helps people find freedom from life’s hurts, habits, and hang-ups through biblical principles and community support.

  • CR is for everyone! Whether you’re struggling with addiction, anger, anxiety, codependency, grief, control, or past pain, you’ll find support and healing here.

  • No — Celebrate Recovery is open to anyone from any church or no church at all. Everyone is welcome.

  • No. Celebrate Recovery is completely free. Occasionally, small donations help cover meals or materials, but there’s no obligation to give.

  • At Celebrate Recovery Fouke, we offer two types of meetings throughout the week:

    • Thursday Nights – Full CR Experience:
Our main weekly meeting includes Large Group Worship with live music, prayer, and a teaching or personal testimony, followed by gender-specific Open Share Groups. Afterward, we enjoy snacks and fellowship together.

    • Other Nights – Open Share Only:
On select nights during the week, we host Open Share–Only Meetings. These gatherings skip the large group portion and go straight into small groups, giving extra time for conversation, reflection, and personal growth.

Both formats are Christ-centered, confidential, and focused on healing — you’re welcome to attend either or both as part of your recovery journey.

  • Open Share Groups are confidential, gender-specific small groups where participants can share their struggles, victories, or experiences in a safe and respectful space.

  • Step Studies are smaller, closed groups that meet weekly to work through the 12 Steps and 8 Principles of CR in depth using the official participant guides. They’re where deeper healing and growth happen.

  • No. You’re welcome to just listen until you feel comfortable. Many people attend several times before deciding to share.

  • Not at all. While some attend for substance-related struggles, CR helps with a wide range of issues — including anxiety, anger, relationships, control, grief, people-pleasing, and more.

  • Celebrate Recovery is built on the foundation of Jesus Christ as the Higher Power and uses Scripture-based principles to bring lasting change and spiritual growth.

  • Yes and no.

Yes — childcare is provided on Thursday nights during our full Celebrate Recovery meetings, which include Large Group Worship and Open Share Groups. Our trained volunteers create a safe and caring environment for children while parents participate in the program. Due to the adult nature of the content shared in Large Group, Open Share, and Step Studies, children are not permitted in these sessions.

Childcare is not available on Open Share–Only days, as those meetings are smaller and more flexible in format. Families are always welcome to attend Thursday nights when childcare is offered.
